Micky van de Ven, born on April 19, 2001, in Wormer, Netherlands, is a professional footballer renowned for his defensive prowess and exceptional speed. He began his career at WSV ’30 before joining FC Volendam’s youth academy in 2013. Progressing through the ranks, he debuted for Volendam’s first team in 2019, eventually becoming captain. In 2021, van de Ven transferred to VfL Wolfsburg, where he showcased his talents in the Bundesliga. His remarkable pace was highlighted in the 2022–23 season, recording a top speed of 22.3 mph, the highest among Bundesliga defenders. In August 2023, he joined Tottenham Hotspur on a six-year deal. Van de Ven made an immediate impact, setting a Premier League speed record of 37.38 km/h in January 2024.
