King Power Stadium, located in Leicester, England, has been the home of Leicester City Football Club since its opening in 2002. The stadium was constructed to replace the club’s former ground, Filbert Street, where they had played since 1891. Construction began in the summer of 2001, and the stadium was officially opened by former Leicester striker Gary Lineker on 23 July 2002. Initially named the Walkers Stadium due to a sponsorship deal with Walkers Crisps, it was renamed King Power Stadium in 2011 following the acquisition of the club by the Thai-based King Power International Group.

The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 32,500 and has witnessed significant moments in the club’s history. Notably, in the 2015–16 season, Leicester City achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Premier League title, a triumph celebrated at their home ground. In 2018, the stadium was the site of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of five people, including the club’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. To honor his memory, a memorial garden was established at the site. Plans have been approved to expand the stadium’s capacity to 40,000, reflecting the club’s growing ambitions and fanbase.
