027 Vitality Stadium

Vitality Stadium, originally known as Dean Court, has been the home of AFC Bournemouth since 1910. The land for the stadium was donated by the Cooper-Dean family, and the ground was constructed on the site of a former gravel pit. Over the years, the stadium underwent several developments, including the addition of a 3,700-seat stand in the 1920s and a covered terrace in 1936. A record attendance of 28,799 was set during an FA Cup match against Manchester United in 1957.

In 2001, the stadium underwent a significant redevelopment, which included rotating the pitch 90 degrees and constructing three new stands, resulting in a modern, all-seater stadium with a capacity of 11,307. The venue has had several sponsored names, becoming the Fitness First Stadium in 2001, the Seward Stadium in 2011, and the Goldsands Stadium in 2012, before adopting the name Vitality Stadium in 2015. Despite its relatively small size, the stadium has witnessed AFC Bournemouth’s rise through the football leagues, including their promotion to the Premier League.
