Kristoffer Vassbakk Ajer, born on April 17, 1998, in Rælingen, Norway, is a professional footballer known for his defensive prowess. Standing at 1.98 meters tall, he began his football journey with local club Rælingen before moving to Lillestrøm’s youth setup. Ajer made his professional debut with Start in Norway’s Tippeligaen at 16, becoming the league’s youngest-ever captain shortly after.

In 2016, Ajer signed with Celtic in Scotland, where he initially went on loan to Kilmarnock. Upon returning, he secured a regular spot in Celtic’s defense, contributing to multiple domestic titles, including three consecutive Scottish Premierships and domestic trebles.

In July 2021, Ajer transferred to Brentford in the English Premier League. He made an immediate impact, debuting in a 2-0 victory over Arsenal. He scored his first goal for Brentford in May 2022 against Southampton. In November 2023, Ajer extended his contract with Brentford until 2028, underscoring his importance to the team.
